Step-by-Step Guide: Installing a Config (cfg) File in CS 1.6

 To install a config (cfg) file on CS 1.6, follow these steps:

Download the cfg file you want to use.

Open the game and navigate to the "Options" menu.

Select the "Game Settings" tab.

Click on the "Advanced" button.

Scroll down to the "Configuration Files" section.

Click on the "Browse..." button to open the file explorer.

Navigate to the folder where you downloaded the cfg file, select it and click on "Open".

The cfg file should now appear in the "Configuration Files" section.

Select the cfg file and click on the "Execute" button to apply the settings.

You can also move the cfg file to the config folder of the game directory. The default path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike\cstrike\cfg

Once you move the cfg file, you can execute the cfg file by typing in the console "exec filename.cfg" or you can create a new button in the game settings and bind the command "exec filename.cfg" to the button so you can execute the cfg file easily.
